Reverend Cherylon Y. Fogle answered the call to ministry 5 years ago. She retired

after a 20-year military career in the U.S. Navy as a Medic and a Career Counselor where she was requested by her leaders at three separate commands. She is a teacher, exhorter and motivating pastor with a passion for spiritual growth.

 

Reverend Fogle’s academic achievements underscore her qualifications. She holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from Strayer University and will complete her Master of Divinity in May of 2026. She joined Good Hope A.M.E.C. in Cope, S.C., in July 2021, under her pastor and mentor, Rev. Dr. Georgeann Tyler-Pringle.

 

She received her License to Preach from Presiding Elder Dr. Charles E. Young in

June of 2022. She entered the Board of Examiners in 2023. She was promoted by

Bishop James L. Davis, Prelate of the Seventh Episcopal District, Central

Conference, in the Midlands District in October of 2024, where she received her

first ordination as an Itinerant Deacon.

 

Reverend Fogle received her first charge on November 1, 2025, as the pastor of Chapel A.M.E. Church in Paxville, S.C. She has been blessed with many speaking engagements over her tenure and is looking forward to fulfilling the purpose that the Lord has placed upon her life through continued service for the people of God.
